Hard to believe it’s December 21st and the first day of winter. Seems like Thanksgiving just blew by and now there’s only four days to Christmas and six days later, 2017! Wow!
In writing this newsletter to close the year out, I needed to look back and reflect on what it has meant to NCAHRMM. We’ve experienced positives, negatives, lulls, highlights in a variety of different ways. Our conferences/education sessions were tremendously successful, educationally rewarding and professionally enriching. We’ve welcomed new members and said good-bye to those who left us too soon. We’ve seen many changes on the healthcare as well as the political landscapes from both a local and national perspective. We are going to continue to see much of the same, if not more, in 2017.
As Supply Chain professionals, we will continue to provide more for less in services, supplies, equipment, and data to sustain our individual organizations. How can you be asked to do more and more and more? Easy when you see all that you’ve accomplished with less, less and less. Just keep your head down and keep pedaling faster and faster and faster!!
NCAHRMM has had another successful year and it’s because of your Board and their tireless effort to provide you with ongoing educational opportunities at a price that is difficult to match… by anyone. I want to give this special shout out to each of the Board members as they were there when needed due to the untimely loss of our President (and friend) Steve Benjamin. It hit them hard, but they responded with dignity, professionalism, pride and compassion. They are a remarkable bunch!! Thank you team!!
In closing, I want to extend a special thank you to our supplier partners. It’s through your support and involvement with NCAHRMM that we’re able to produce such dynamic educational opportunities for our members. We rely on your support and want you to know that you are appreciated!
2017 will bring new challenges… and rewards. I truly believe that each person reading this message has the talents, skills and abilities… to meet any challenge. I also believe that NCAHRMM provides a support network of professionals that given the chance, will gladly respond to a request for assistance. You are NOT alone!!
On behalf of the NCAHRMM Board and me personally, thank you for the opportunity to serve you and the organization. It’s an honor to be part of such a dynamic group of professionals and we wish you and yours the Merriest of Christmas’s, the Happiest of Holidays and the Safest of New Years!
